FATHERS DAY

Father’s day comes once in a year and in the month of June. Why we celebrate father’s day? If it wasn’t for your dad you will not be here. On father’s day is celebrated on the 16th of June. This day means celebrating our father’s existence. It is a day where we as children say “Thank you for being there dad”, giving thanks for everything that he did for you and to thank him for being himself.
I am lucky to have someone like Daniel Ranoko, my baby daddy. He has been with us for as long as I can remember, that is why I always say to myself, no am not luck I am blessed, to have some like him in my life.
The first time Tshegofatso started to talk, she said, “Papa” wow it shows that God has his own way, and God’s ways are always right. I would like to wish everyone a happy father’s day, especially those who have taken the responsibility of being part of their children’s lives. To those who ran away from their responsibility I would like to say “Men up to your responsibilities.
I was raised by a single parent, yeah my mom is the best she played both roles, so would like to say to her “happy father’s day mom, you are the best!
Happy Father’s day, to all the dads out there may, the good Lord continue to bless, you and your Families. May God give you all strength to hold on in bad times as well as to cherish those good times with your children? May all make marks in your children’s hearts that will never be erased?

JUNE 16TH

South Africa commemorates the Soweto Uprising in the country. Youth day is celebrated on the 16th of June each year, to recognize the role of the youth in the liberation of South Africa from the apartheid regime.
This movement was stared in 1974 when Afrikaans was made compulsory in schools. This order stated that Afrikaans should be used in conjunction with English for teaching learners at school. Subjects such as Mathematics and social sciences were taught in Afrikaans. The use of home languages was prohibited.

Afrikaans was largely seen as a tool to oppress and it resulted in growing resentment in teachers as well as students. Things changed on June 16th 1976, when thousands of black students went on a protest rally from their homes to Orlando stadium.

Although this rally’s outcome was peacemaking, things got out of control and riots were all over the place. Many students were killed during the protest. So youth day is celebrated in memory of all the young people who lost their lives during the protest, especially the death of Hector Pieterson , who was a 12 year old student who was killed during the uprising. The day is also celebrated with musical concerts around the country. Various Youth non-profit organizations organize awareness campaigns on this day. It is to alert the youth to be aware of the challenges that the youth can face in today’s world. The release of Nelson Mandela was the end of the apartheid regime.

Happy youth day to all young people out there and remember to act responsible because for every action there is a consequence. Remember those who died, fought and suffered for you to get freedom. !

HAPPY SIXTH ANNIVERSAY

Life ends when you stop dreaming, hope ends when you stop believing and love ends when you stop caring. So dream hope and love...Makes Life Beautiful
I m feeling so happy, do u know why? because i m so lucky, do u know how? because God loves me. Do you know how?  because he gave me a gift. Do you know what? It is YOU my love.
The first time I saw u I was scared to touch you. The first time I touched you I was scared to kiss you. The first time I kiss you I was scared to love u but now that I love you I am scared to lose you!

If I met you on tomorrow I would still give you my heart, if you should say do you still love me? I’d say, “Till death do us part”. On thus special day, let this wonderful love we share last for our lifetime. You are loving and thoughtful and I adore you.
We had our ups and downs but through love we still managed to grow. We had different thoughts about many things, but our love for each other had no attached strings.

Hope the love we shared many years ago is still strong today, as it was then, bringing you much joy, love and happiness to celebrate again.
Nothing in this world could ever be as wonderful as the love you have given me. Your love makes my days so very bright. Happy Anniversary My Love!
