MOTHERS DAY: METHODIST CHURCH OF SOUTHREN AFRICA: NORTHREN ODI CIRCUIT

Each year we celebrate mother’s day, but some of us did not see the necessity to celebrate it at church. We thought that chilling at home and cooking for our mothers was the best gift that we can give to them.

Well all this changed in the year 2012 when our priest Reverend Mholo showed us the congregation and the importance of showing appreciating at church. This is what we call thanksgiving. A MOTHER is someone who cares, has patients, supports and gives the child strength to go through any obstacles that occur in life.

By her showing us the necessity of celebrating mother’s day at church, she also came up the idea that people should were red and white if their parents are not deceased and those who are orphans should where white clothes.

This day is not only about celebrating the love that your biological mother has given you, no what about those mothers who have been with you through thick and thin? Guess what I have six mothers and I walk tall because I don’t lack anything, they provide for me.

I want to thank the almighty for giving me such blessings in my life, such a strong support structure is what makes someone look at life in a positive way. I LOVE MY MOTHER, AUNTS AND MY PRIEST.

May God bless you all, and please do not do these good deeds for me only but to everyone else. THANK YOU, HAPPY MOTHERS DAY TO ALL MOTHERS OF THE METHODIST CHURCH.
