HE LIVED, HE DIED AND HE ROSE: EASTER SUNDAY
Easter Sunday has been
historically celebrated on Christian’s calendars. Christians celebrate the
resurrection of Jesus Christ on Easter Sunday. This Sunday service is attended
by most Christians. According to Christian believe Jesus came back to life,
meaning that he was raised form the dead three days after his death on the
cross. I want to clarify this; Easter is a festival season that explains that
the death of Jesus Christ and the crucifixion is commemorated on Good Friday.
This incident happened before on Friday just before Easter. Being born and
raised in a religious family, I was thought that through his death and
resurrection, Jesus paid the penalty for our sins. Those who believe in him
will have eternal life. Easter is joyful time of hope and assurance. Easter
services include sermons, Holy Communion, special prayers, and singing hymns.
Therefore Easter also marks the end of Lent, lent is a 40 day period of
fasting, prayer and penance. As Christians it is important to know the meaning
of Easter, and stepping in church is a good decision. Bear in mind that it is
not about your physical appearance, how you look in that dress, or are you
dressed to impress others, that is the least of things that you should worry
about because God wants and original not a fake. Be yourself and leave the rest
to God, he surely knows the best. Hope you all enjoyed your Easter Weekend may
the good Lord bless you all.
